600 Km...

We made it back from our trip to Oasis - a round trip of 600 km. We had an awesome time! Sandy and I had a WONDERFUL visit with Aldo & Rebeca and the kids had an AWESOME time out there in the campo, playing for hours in the school gym and investigating the landscape to find huge frogs, small geckos and lots of other creepy critters - they were in no rush to leave!

It was very good for me to be able to talk about a lot of ministry issues with Aldo and to find out where he is at as well as be more informed so that the National Council meeting on Saturday will be much more meaningful to me.

Although we had planned to stay in a local hotel there in Oasis, when we went to book a room we were turned away as they were full. Instead we were warmly welcomed by Aldo & Rebeca to stay in their home - which meant that they gave us their bed while they slept on the floor in their dining room (they only have a one bedroom apartment - and no living room furniture). We humbly accepted their generous offer and were blessed by them in many ways throughout our time there.
