Happy Birthday Gerald!

Today is Gerald's 40th birthday. And he spent it sitting all day in the van! We left McAllen this morning at 7:10 and arrived in Ardmore Oklahoma around 5:30 this afternoon - 1040 km later. It was a very long day but we arrived safe and sound and the van worked great. Thankfully, tomorrow is not as long of a day. Our high lights of the day, besides Gerald's birthday, include the boys looking at the Texas Motor Speedway - a Nascar Speedway as we drove by, missing rush hour in the cities we travelled through, good traveling weather, arriving early enough to relax before going to bed, and a birthday supper at Denny's.

It is below freezing outside already - feels really cold to us. It will get steadily colder as we continue to head north. We enjoyed our relaxing time in McAllen, but are looking forward to arriving home.
