What an absolutely gorgeous day! Over the lunch hour we all sat out on the deck enjoying the warm sunshine. The kids have been playing with water guns the last several days. The last two days I have carried all the garden and flower plants outside for the day and then back inside for night. I am getting anxious to get them all planted. I am impressed at how well they are doing.
I am so thankful for Friday this week - especially with the weather. I am looking forward to the weekend - the break from school (although we only have 17 days of school left before summer break! Yahoo) and Gerald being home for a few days. He was gone most of last weekend so we are looking forward to some great family time this weekend. The boys were hooting and hollering when Gerald told them they could help mow the lawn this weekend. How many years do you think they will be excited about helping with that?
My tulips, iris', crocus', and hyacinths have all come up although none of them are blooming yet. The rhubarb is also coming up - Andrew is very happy about that! He loves rhubarb cheesecake. We trimmed the cedar bushes in front of the house this week and clean out all the flower beds. I need to tackle the leaves in the hedge yet. Hopefully things will start turning green before too long - some rain would help.
Enjoy your afternoon!
Sandy
