Summer Break

Tomorrow is our first official day of summer break. Andrew was the last to finish and he completed third grade today. We went out for supper to celebrate. Gerald asked what I planned to do for the next few weeks. I said nothing for the next few days. We will see how long that lasts.

Yesterday was Mother's Day and we celebrated by doing the 5 km Run for Mom here in town. While Andrew jogged a good part of the route the rest of us walked the majority of it. It was a fun way to spend the day and we were all impressed with how well we did. Afterwards we went to Rosenort to spent the evening with Gerald's parents and watched one of the hockey games before heading home.

There has been a nice gentle rain most of the day today. It made me wish I had put my garden in already, but then two nights ago it was still freezing at night. Caleb's soccer game was cancelled tonight due to the rain which made it possible for us to enjoy a leisure supper out.
