Gerald's First Day of School

Today is Gerald's first day of school. He is taking another class at Providence Seminary as he continues to plug away at his Masters. The kids and I told him to be a good listener and pay attention to his teacher today :) I think he is a little nervous about the amount of work this class will be. He has heard rumors that there is three hours of visitation required each week on top of all the other requirements. Of course he is still working full time as well as being a father and a husband.

The kids and I have settled into a good routine with our school. We are in our third week already. Andrew has done amazing with all the explorers that he is required to know. I go over them with him and I can't even remember who did what. He had a history test yesterday and got a 97%. The one problem he did get wrong I had to "prove" to him that it was wrong. He loves history and enjoys learning about it all.

I have still been canning lots this week. Yesterday I did a batch of apple juice, spaghetti sauce and apple butter. Today I will pick all the red tomatoes and get them ready to make another batch of salsa. Between Caleb and Gerald I think we go through a jar of salsa a week. So, there is still lots of salsa to can to keep them stocked until next year. If there is still time in the day I will do another batch of apple butter.

Tomorrow we will leave right at 12 to make it to the city in time for the citizenship ceremony. By tomorrow afternoon I will be a Canadian citizen. Will it feel any different? I will let you know later.

Until then,
Sandy
