The house has a wonderful aroma in it right now. I started the morning by making blueberry muffins for breakfast. Since then I've spent the morning making pies. We are hosting the youth for a Christmas party tomorrow. Gerald is busy getting the house ready (sweeping and mopping) while I have been in the kitchen this morning. I've made two pumpkin pies and an apple pie. Tomorrow afternoon I will make a chocolate pudding pie. There was some pumpkin mixture left over so I put some dough in muffin pans and made six little pies. The kids will enjoy those today! As I often do, I used the left over crust to make strips with sugar and cinnamon - the kids like those too! Gerald thinks I have too many pies. Is that possible?
We will have lunch and then head out to John and Lorna's.
Tomorrow is the Christmas service - Gerald is preaching. After church we are having a pot luck. Then we will rush home and make the last pie before we head out to go caroling with the youth. We will end up at our house for pie and a present exchange. The kids are looking forward to that!
Well, time to take pies out of the oven.
Enjoy your weekend,
Sandy
