South Padre Island...

Can you say missionary beach bums??? That's what we thought...we had a very fun day at South Padre Island for a good chunk of the day...the kids were so excited to see the "ocean" for the first time in their lives. There was lots of jumping and splashing in the waves and all three kids can now say they have been completely submerged in ocean water (and got some good tastes of it along the way...).

As Sandy and I took a walk along the beach (a few moments without the kids...) we reflected on the fact that we were so blessed and that it was so good we were able to have this little time to transition in between our Mexico experience and getting back to Manitoba...our emotions are certainly all over the place these days.
Tomorrow we are heading over to RGBI (where Sandy and I first met some 16 years ago...) to see what it looks like there and to let the children see this "historic" place in our lives...we also will do a little bit of shopping and then mostly just a relaxing day enjoying the scenery and peaceful Guest House atmosphere.

Happy New Years!
Gerald
