We decided to take the day off from school and take a field trip to Chihuahua. We left around 9:00am. It took about 70 minutes to get there. Gerald took us by the house where he used to live and the church where he worked. Then we headed off to Walmart with a list in hand. While we still seemed to find things to buy one thing we couldn't find was pretzels. We bought something we thought was brown sugar - now we are not so sure that's what it is. We will have to taste it to see. We also picked up something for Andrew's birthday which is on Friday. I won't say what it is because he likes to read the blog.
We stopped at Office Depot to pick up ink for the printer and then went to lunch at Applebees.
Next we headed off to the downtown market area. We had a lot of fun there looking at everything. Andrew spent his birthday money from Grandma Katie on a cowboy trinket (it is too hard to explain). Olivia and Caleb also got something. Olivia got a cute princess box and Caleb talked his dad into a wooden cobra snake. He was able to get it only on the promise that it would NEVER EVER appear in his mother's room. We spent some time browsing around, looking in shops and eating ice cream. What a great day! It was fun to relax, see some of Chihuahua, and enjoy some casual time.
As we were leaving the city Gerald took us by the arena where he once tried bull fighting when he lived in Chihuahua - the boys thought that was SOOOO cool!
Tomorrow it is back to school for the kids and I and Gerald to the computer to get the devotional ready for prayer meeting. Have a great evening.

Hey Sandy (and everyone else too!)
I thought alot about you today and I'm glad to hear that you were able to get out for awhile today. Mo told me I missed out on the MSN conversation the other day. I guess we'll have to "chat" sometime very soon. Glad things are going well.
