New Team Members!

Yesterday, on Andrew's birthday, we had a visit from some missionaries who work in the Sierra Madre mountains with Tarahuamara Indians (friends of Scott & Elisa Peters). They had come to town to get supplies - it is always great to connect with folks who are doing the Lord's work!

Then a few hours later we had a visit from our newest team members - Don & Minna Thiessen. While they will be working with the Low German churches, we are still so blessed to have them join us on the field here. Their term is considerably longer then our short 5 months, but we are still so glad to be able to support one another.

(Don & Minna in front of their home - we enjoyed a wonderful visit and lunch with them on Saturday)

Last night at our small group Bible study we welcomed a new couple, Mario & Edna. It appears, from his many questions last night that Mario is not a follower of Christ. It was a great evening of interaction and we would ask you to pray for him as we continue to meet (next Friday the study will be in their home).

Tomorrow we head off to Chihuahua to join the "Fuente de Vida" church for their worship service - I will be sharing the message. We are excited to connect with Aldo & Rebeca, the pastoral couple, whom we have not seen in a long time. I told the kids today that Aldo has been one of the best friends I have ever had so we can't wait to spend the day with them.

Sandy was excited because today we were able to finally find brown sugar. She has been looking for it since we got here. We also found farmer sausage in a Low German-owned store - we enjoyed the sausage tonight for supper!

May the Lord bless you as you worship Him tomorrow in your own churches!

Hi All
What a great day for us at EFC. We had a great time, it being comotion/promotion sunday and all, followed by an excelent meeting with jesus in worship. So good to see the church full again, and about 20 SBC students. The worship singing was powerful and Ed brought us God's word in a great way. The afternoon BBQ was well attended by the community. Overall a blessed day. (the bombers also won) So take up your cross with joy tomorrow, sleep well and anticipate seeing God's glory.
